At the age of 39, coaches and others believe Scott Beck’s playing days are behind him. Beck enjoys a close relationship with high school team coach Nick Martin, but his father’s health is declining and he can barely make ends meet to pay his rent.

Beck was an incredible player in high school, but feels like he was let down by the local pro basketball team, the Silver Knights. Beck also feels like his ex-girlfriend, Ryan Aikens, also dumped him right before they planned to get married. However, that was 20 years ago, and Beck is ready to let go of his dreams of playing in the league.

Much to his surprise, Beck learns that Ryan has succeeded his father as owner of the Silver Knights. He also finds out that she is holding open tryouts ahead of the upcoming season after two players were fired due to criminal activity.

Despite everyone’s doubts, including himself, Beck decides to give his dream another chance. He impresses on the first try and receives a call from Ryan notifying Beck that they want him back for a second day of testing.

Word is spreading through the city of Beck’s Cinderella story all the way to the Silver Knights. With school behind him and a rekindled fire between him and Ryan, Beck thinks it’s God’s plan for him to play professional basketball.

However, after a series of setbacks, Beck finds himself back where he started, or so he thinks. As his faith wavers, will Beck put his trust in God and lean on the people around him who still support him, or will he give up on God, his dream and himself afterwards another apparent failure?
