Michael Myers accused of being homophobic in new Halloween movie

After watching the new Halloween kills movie, people accuse the fictional character Michael Myers of being homophobic.

During the film, Myers (played by James Jude Courtney) breaks into his childhood home where a gay couple lives. As you might already expect, he murders them … because he’s Michael Myers and would kill everyone who lives in his house.

However, some viewers did not embrace the same understanding and instead took to social media to label Myers as homophobic.

One person wrote on Twitter: “Michael Myers being canonically homophobic and Chucky being canonically anti-homophobic is not something I expected this year. ”

Another added: “I saw this new Halloween movie, I didn’t expect it Michael Myers be too homophobic. ”

And a third said: “They really had to kill the gay couple[?] Michaël MYes is homophobic asf [as f***]. ”

Someone else commented: “HALLOWEEN KILLS IT WAS TOO GOOD BUT WHY MICHAEL MUST YOU KILL A GAY COUPLE? MICHAEL MYERS IS HOMOPHOBIA CONFIRMED.”

Although many people disagree with the assessments made, only one wrote: “I have to get this off my chest. Hey #LGBTQ community, MICHAEL MYERS IS NOT HOMOPHOBIC.

“Gays have moved into HIS house, and if you’ve seen those damn movies, NO ONE IN HIS HOUSE IS MAKING IT ALIVE.

“I’m pansexual and I’m not at all offended that Michael kills gay people.

“It goes too far. It’s a MOVIE. Where the KILLER KILLS EVERYONE who gets in his way. His only goal was to GET HOME in Halloween kills. And he did. It does not matter the sexuality of the victims. Michael will literally kill everyone. Please, STFU [shut the f*** up]. ”

Channeling the same thoughts, someone asked, “Wwouldn’t it be homophobic for Michael Myers not to kill them because they are homosexual. ”

Halloween kills, which was released on October 15, picks up where 2018 Halloween left out – with Michael Myers back at his best murderous level.

The film shows more than 30 deaths, 25 of which were caused directly or indirectly by Myers. This puts the film’s body count at the top of the 13-movie franchise.

Myers is no stranger to the staggering body count, having already made his way through 18 kills in Rob Zombie’s Halloween redo and 17 in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.
