Halloween Kills is Michael Myers’ deadliest movie
Halloween kills gave Michael Myers his highest body count on record, with more than two dozen people being untimely terminated because of the killer. You can see the trailer here:
The last film in the franchise was released yesterday (October 15) and picks up where 2018 Halloween leave behind.
It doesn’t disappoint fans of gore, with Michael Myers back at his deadliest level.
In total, Halloween kills has over 30 deaths, 25 of which were caused directly or indirectly by Myers. This puts the film’s body count at the top of the 13-movie franchise.
Comicbook.com has calculated the numbers and shown that Myers’ latest rampage is crushing the corpses of other movie killers, including Jigsaw’s 22. 3D view and the 21 murders of Jason Voorhees in Jason x.
In fact, Myers kill count is only beaten by Victor Crowley in Hatchet III.
Myers is no stranger to the staggering body count, having already made his way through 18 kills in Rob Zombie’s Halloween redo and 17 in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.
Halloween kills follows on from the 2018 film, as well as the very first Halloween film, released in 1978, but ignores all the sequels in between.
Speaking about the last film, director David Gordon Green told Total Film: “If the first film gave a little bit of the origin of Myers and told us where Laurie had been all these years, then the second part is about l ‘Haddonfield indignation.
“Mob Rules was our working title for the film. It’s about a community united in outrage and divided on how to deal with evil.”
Halloween kills will be followed by a third film – Halloween ends – to complete Green’s trilogy.
Green teases fans of the franchise with a few clues about the end of the trilogy.
“The script is a lot of fun. For me it was essential to say, ‘This is a concluding episode to my trilogy.’ I’m trying to end my ‘Laurie Strode vs. Michael Myers’ narration. ”
