CT’s Favorite Christmas Movie is ‘Last Christmas’

It’s the best time of the year! It’s the season for giving gifts, spending time with family and watching movies.

We’ll all get together as a family before Christmas and make a classic movie, which embodies the season for us. Which movie is this for you? A Christmas Carol? Christmas holidays? Or maybe Alone at home? Recently, Preply set out to find the most popular Christmas movie in every state, they used Google Data to get their answers. The Nutmeg State has spoken, CT’s favorite Christmas movie is Last christmas?

I had never seen the film before so I did some research before launching into a judgment and review of this choice. Last christmas is a romantic comedy released in 2019 and here is the plot description for IMDB:

“Kate is a young woman subscribed to bad decisions. Working as an elf in a Christmas store all year round is not good for the aspiring singer. However, she meets Tom there. Her life takes a turn. For Kate. , that sounds too good to be true. “

Kate played by Emilia Clarke and the movie is set in the UK

Now would be the time, I usually go into a few different rants as to why this is such a terrible choice, but I love the selection (more on that).

Normally I would complain because this is a newer movie, and I would ask how this movie could compare to classics like Is it a wonderful life? Then I would give a speech about how Americans are way too fascinated with British pop culture and we made an anti-patriotic choice … blah, blah, blah.

I like the selection because I am a die-hard romantic comedy lover. Even bad romantic comedies have the capacity to make you feel good in a world full of evil. The movie is about escaping, leaving the ugly realities of life, and life has been seriously ugly lately.

Although I am a fan of genres like horror, suspense, and real crime, they are no escape from real life warts. However, romantic comedies to do take you to a special and happy place where life is filled with awkward laughter and lovely people falling in love.

I’ve never seen Last christmas but I’m putting on my list right now (stop writing to add a movie to the movie list). This movie will never be on me all time favorite The Christmas movie list, and it won’t be a Christmas tradition in my house, but I can understand why the residents of CT have Google searched it over and over again.

PS New York chose Alone at home and New Jersey had the same selection as us.

You found yourself at a common roadblock, one or more of your family members decided to watch a movie they had never seen before. You suggested “Elf” and someone said “not yet”, you said we can watch “Home Alone” and someone moaned “nooooo”.

13 gifts you’re not from the Danbury area

There is no right way to do this without setting the limits. In order to have an eye on this I said “Danbury Area” but we all know it goes beyond. It’s a strange place, and we all have a lot in common that we don’t talk about because it’s unnecessary.

So this listing is for Danbury, Brookfield, Bethel, Ridgefield, Newtown, New Milford, New Fairfield, Brewster, Mahopac, Carmel, Somers and I guess we’ll include North Salem but only if you promise you won’t get cute with me.

Being from the Greater Danbury area means a lot and we can all identify them without having to ask too many questions or dig deep. We can spot a stranger a mile away. If you try to mix it up, good luck and beware of the following.

These are 13 gifts from the dead that you are not from the Grand-Danbury region.
