Boone, Iowa, writes faith-based books
Author Adrianne “AC” Babbitt believes that “when you understand and apply God’s Word in your life, you and your family can prosper.”
Originally from Boone, she and her family currently reside in Bloomer, Wisconsin.
“I’ve always wanted to be a writer — ever since I was little. I wrote stories in first and second grade,” she said. “I graduated with a 4.0 from Boone High School.”
She then attended the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies and studied children’s ministry. She has served in youth ministry with her husband for over 12 years.
Babbitt recently relaunched her first book, “The Miscarriage Project: Testimonials of Parents Who Found Hope in God.” The audiobook will be available on November 1.
A mother of six, she miscarried her third child in 2016.
“About a month later, I felt like the Lord was telling me to write a blog. I really resisted, but he really encouraged me; other women need it too,” a- she declared.
The book was formed from blog entries over a three-year period, along with nine other testimonials from men and women from all walks of life who also suffered miscarriage.
She said the positive feedback — and accolades — the book has received has been fulfilling.
In 2021, Babbitt launched a new children’s series titled Princess with a Purpose, with each book centering on a princess whose name begins with a different letter of the alphabet. The first opus, available in English and Spanish editions, is called “Princess Amora”.
“It’s a series about princesses all over the world. It shows diversity, teaches them their letters, and teaches God-inspired principles and healthy self-esteem,” she said of her mission.
She also runs the Christian lifestyle blog “The Haven”. She enjoys writing about the Bible, her faith, and living BOLD – Beautiful-Overcomer-Loved-Designed.
In November 2020, she was interviewed and featured on CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network). She is working on the second book in the Princess with a Purpose series.
She is also currently working on a book aimed at helping children deal with miscarriages, called “My Brother From Heaven”. It is scheduled for next spring. “Our son was two when we had a miscarriage and asked me all these questions about his brother,” she explained.
Babbitt is finishing her first young adult novel — the first in a new Haven Diaries series — titled “Dating, Purity and the Unknown.”
In his free time, Babbitt sings, plays various instruments, hangs out, makes albums, tries new foods, and enjoys romantic comedies.
