Books Go Once, Twice, and… The Library Will Hold a Fall Book Sale

Posted 6:08 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022

The fall colors begin to burst, reminding us all of the vibrant hues of the adorning book jackets as they rest on the tables lined up for reading and selling.

Claiborne County Public Library is gearing up for the popular Fall Book Sale, scheduled for the week of October 3-8. Talk about an event! Librarians work feverishly each fall to bring the best in books, movies, music and more for a minimal price. And audiences can’t seem to get enough of them when they shop, read, or listen and end up placing them to keep for future reference on their home library shelves or gifting them to others when finished.

All proceeds from the annual book sale go directly into the library’s vaults to, among other things, restock the facility’s shelves with new titles.

Hardbacks, audiobooks, puzzles, movies, and music are only $1 each. Paperbacks and magazines are each sold for a penny. Tradeback books are only 50 cents each. Bibles are free.

All items are sold “as is” for cash only.

Opening hours from Monday to Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.

The book sale, held in the basement, is a great way to support your county library while buying some great reading and listening materials by the fireside to snuggle up to.
